What kind of Wax Do you use to make your products?

100% All-Natural Pure Soy wax is used that doesn't release toxins or any harmful by- products when burning into the air.

When will my order ship?

Majority of orders will ship within 3-5 days assuming that the items were in stock, also depending on the shipping service you select during checkout. In case there is unforeseen circumstances or delays we will reach out promptly. 

How long should I burn a candle?

Recommendations is to burn candles in 3–4-hour increments to extend the life of the candle.

What type of wicks do you use?

Flat braided cotton wicks with paper threads woven into the cotton, we do not use lead wicks.

Should wicks be trimmed?

If your wick length seems very long or you noticed carbon mushroom on top of the wick after burning you should trim the wick. Also, if you are seeing soot or smoke and flames to high coming from the wick when burning extinguish the flame trim the wick to 1/4" and re-light your candle.

Keeping your wick trimmed makes your candle much safer and helps it last much longer. If you do not keep your wick trimmed properly, problems may unfortunately occur.

How to care/ store candles?

Candles are very sensitive to temperature and light changes, when storing candles place in a cool, dry and dark place away from direct sunlight or extreme lighting. This will prolong the life of the candle by protecting it from fading and discoloration.

Why does my candle look rough/bumpy at the top after it has been burned/extinguished?

100% Pure soy wax will usually cool at an inconsistent rate, sometimes this will trap air on the surface and cause a bumpy/ lumpy surface look. Great News this is totally normal and will not affect the performance of the candle in any way.

Why does my candle look discolored?

100% soy candles can discolor due to factors like soybean variety, light exposure, fragrance oils, temperature changes, and air exposure. It's mostly a cosmetic issue and doesn't affect candle quality or safety. It's often seen as a natural characteristic of soy candles, and many customers appreciate the rustic charm it can add to the candles over time. To reduce discoloration, store candles in a cool, dark place, in airtight containers or packaging to reduce exposure to air.

Why does my candle top looked frosted?

A frosted top on a soy candle is common due to soy wax properties. It's a sign that you are burning a soy-based candle. It's a normal characteristic and not a cause for concern. It happens when the candle cools after burning or exposed to cooler air. It's purely aesthetic and it won't affect performance, of you candle.

What if an item is damaged or defective when it arrives?

Please inspect your order thoroughly, once delivered and contact us immediately within 48 hours by email at info@moodiewicks.com if the item is damaged or defective so we can assess the issue and make corrections.

Please attach photos/description of the damage before using the item. Once item is used, we will no longer be able to honor or accept any exchanges, returns or issue a refund.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

NOTE: For all returns, refunds and exchanges you will need a receipt for proof of purchase.

Can I return/ exchange candle if I do not like the Fragrance scent?

We do not except returns/exchanges or issue refunds due to personal fragrance choices. Unfortunately, we will only honor that due to defects. Please be sure to pay close attention to fragrance choice when ordering for this reason, we include fragrance profiles and notes inside each product description to help you make your choice. Hopefully this policy is understandable.

 

 

Remember when you light a candle, give it a little time to work its magic. candles need to establish a melt pool, allowing the liquid wax to release the scent from the fragrance oils. Remember, patience is key. As the wax pool expands, the room will gradually fill with the delightful aroma.
